Beck ‘Nams ended the regular season at .500 after narrowly defeating the Vendors 6-5 in matchup which was light on offense. On the mound, Maholm, Niese and Halladay helped take ERA and WHIP and Papelbon won twice in relief. stevenston angels 16 3 19 2 .253 .694 2 0 36 2 5.25 1.47 5

Finally, my Isotopes and the Angels played out a 5-5 tie. Weeks had a three-homer week and Rizzo went deep twice for my team, with Marmol and Thayer taking care of saves and holds. Pierzynski and Morales helped take average for the Angels, while Alvarez and Lee helped take ERA and WHIP in a matchup which didn’t see much vintage pitching.

So the results mean Iron Men, the RBIs and the Anglers are safely into the championship playoffs, with the Chasers finishing 3.5 games back in ninth place overall.

The Stuff finish top of the standings, two games clear of the Riverkings, with a 22-game gap to the Sox in third. Iron Men finished half a game ahead of the RBIs and SWAT.

The first week of the playoff matchups are as follows:
Stuff (1st) v Anglers (8th)
Isotopes (4th) v Iron Men (5th)
Sox (3rd) v RBIs (6th)
Riverkings (2nd) v SWAT (7th).

Well done to the managers who made it through, and here’s hoping for some good playoff battles.
