We begin with the biggest winners of the week, as Jesmond thumped the RBIs 10-2. Teheran (15 strikeouts, 0.00 ERA) and the fit-again Fister each won two starts as the pitchers completed a sweep. Perkins had two saves and Broxton notched three holds. Trout homered twice and joined Pierzynski and Adams in helping win average and OPS. The RBIs had, er, RBIs from Aviles and Cano, who joined Smith and Gardner in swiping bases. Tanaka had another strong week.

Batteries Essential slugged their way to victory, managing an offensive sweep while beating Iron Men 9-2. An incredible 15 homers were slugged, with Davis getting four of them, while Sandoval hit three and Brantley scored seven times, drove in six and swiped three bases. Vargas struck out 12, while Rosenthal had two saves and Cecil notched a save and two holds. Iron Men salvaged ERA and WHIP thanks to Samardzija and Wheeler.

Another team reaching nine category wins was Norwich, who defeated the Riverkings with an offensive sweep. Justin Upton (3HR, 10 RBIs) and Ozuna (3HR, 9RBIs) did most of the damage, while Chapman and Jansen had a pair of saves each, Watson had two holds and Wily Peralta struck out 10. The Riverkings were boosted by the return of Sale, who combined with Weaver to take wins, ERA and WHIP.

The Angels picked up a very impressive win, defeating early pace-setters Beck ‘Nams 8-3. The pitching staff won five categories, led by Wainwright’s dominant pair of wins and 21 strikeouts, while Montero and Bauer struck out 14 and 13 respectively. Papelbon had two saves. Offensively, Springer hit four homers, while Alexei Ramirez homered twice, drove in seven and swiped two bags. Beck ‘Nams took runs and average thanks to Beltre and Reyes (five steals) while Warren had the lone hold.

The Knights got the better of the Chasers 8-3 thanks to five categories from the pitchers. Minor (11 strikeouts) and Alex Wood each picked up wins, Shaw had two holds and Frieri and Soria picked up saves. Escobar swiped three bases and joined Gomes and V-Mart in scoring five times. The Chasers had power from Pence (three homers) and Melky Cabeera (two) who both drove in five.

My Isotopes picked up another win, slugging their way to victory against the, er, Slugs. Nelson Cruz (nine runs, four homers, seven RBIs) was the star hitter while Frazier went deep twice. Leake (12) and Archer (11) racked up the strikeouts and Doolittle had two saves. Hammel was the pick of the Slug’s pitchers, picking up a win and helping to take ERA and WHIP, while Gordon ran wild in Philadelphia, swiping five bases.

The Butchers narrowly avoided slipping up, edging Bits & Bytes 7-5. Encarnacion hit five homers in a monster week, while Wong and Crawford swiped two bases each. Melancon, Kimbrel and Holland took care of saves, and Beckett hurled his no-hitter to help take wins and WHIP. Bits & Bytes had the edge in runs, average and OPS thanks to Bourn, Bogaerts and Kerndrick, while Kersahw and Hughes helped the staff post a ridiculously good sub-1.00 ERA.

Finally, the Bananas squeezed past the Sox 6-5. The pitching staff claimed five categories in a generally very well-pitched matchup. Jansenn had four saves and Lohse struck out eight, teaming with Lackey to help take ERA and WHIP. Reynolds homered three times and drove in eight. The Sox had great offense spread across the roster, with seven different players homering. Altuve, Longoria and Braun helped take runs, steals, average and OPS. Bumgarner had a win and 16 strikeouts.
