MLB this Week: Nine games to enjoy

CovMLBUK2014There are nine MLB games scheduled to start before midnight U.K. time this working week.

Thursday provides the most eye-catching games. There’s the fourth game of a big series between the Dodgers and Braves, a Max Scherzer start for the Detroit Tigers against the Pirates in Interleague play, and an exciting match-up in prospect from Kansas City where the A’s are scheduled to send Jeff Samardzija to the mound against James Shields.

Earlier in the week, the Mets and Phillies end their latest series with an early start on Monday, and there are four games on Monday including the Boston Red Sox playing an Intlereague encounter against the Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ballpark.

17:10. LA Dodgers at Atlanta (Hernandez vs Harang)
18:08. Pittsburgh at Detroit (Liriano vs Scherzer)
19:10. Oakland at Kansas City (Samardzija vs Shields) *ESPN
19:20. Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs (Fiers vs Jackson)

Friday 15 August

No early games
