Brewers’ European ‘tryout’ camps

Submitted by Matt Smith on June 14, 2008 – 12:31 pmNo Comment

MLB may sometimes seem a far away place for European ballplayers, but that’s not to say that the North American franchises are overlooking this continent.

The Milwaukee Brewers are holding a series of ‘Tryout camps’ in Europe this summer, open to all players aged between 15 and 23 years old.  The Brewers’ presence is particularly encouraging because they held a similar camp in Britain last year, which goes to show that they must feel the trip will be worthwhile.  There will be three tryout camps, one each in Britain, Germany and Hungary.  The British camp will be held at the Bracknell Blazers’ ground and further details can be found on the BBF website here.
