The day is finally here: the Mets and Braves get Spring Training started this evening at 18.10 GMT. Tommy Hanson is set to pitch an inning for Atlanta and even though it’s only a ‘warm-up’ game, that’s still something to look forward to. It looks like it will be on MLB.TV and presumably there will be Gameday Audio coverage on MLB.com via the subscription packages as well. Tune in and transport yourself to Florida.
If I do get to listen to/watch a part of the game, the relaxing sound of batters and pitchers coming and going over the contented murmur of the crowd will be broken every now and then as my mind momentarily wanders to fantasy baseball.
Yes, it’s only 18 days until the BaseballGB Fantasy League draft. Time to start swotting up!
