It’s Labor Day in the States, which means we have a bumper crop of MLB games taking place before midnight UK time to start the working week.
There are 12 ‘early’ games today, including Ubaldo Jimenez facing the Reds and Edwin Jackson facing the Tigers and pitching against one of the guys he was traded for by the D-Backs (who later traded him to the White Sox, of course).
There’s an interesting pitching match-up on Wednesday involving the knuckleballer R.A. Dickey and the evergreen Livan Hernandez, while the Reds’ Travis Wood heads to Coors Field not only hoping to pitch well but also to continue his home-run hitting exploits from his previous start.
