Power from unexpected sources helped my Isotopes slug their way to a 7-3 win against Bonestalkers, as Yonder Alonso hit his first Padre homer and AJ Ellis went deep. Bautista and McCutchen each had three-homer weeks. Parker struck out eight to lead my pitchers, while Bastardo, Cashner and Walden combined for five holds. Beachy and Smyly helped take ERA and WHIP for Bonestalkers, and Jansen had the matchup’s lone save.

It is no surprise the Pirates won this matchup when you take into account the week Josh Hamilton (10R, 9HR, 18RBIs) had. Another Ranger, Feliz, won twice and Zambrano struck out 16. Napoli, Aceves and Salas helped salvage runs, saves and holds the Angels, while the team WHIP of 1.11 was very impressive.

An offensive sweep saw SWAT hand the Vendors a rare defeat. Beltran, who in a non-Hamilton week would have got more attention, joined Middlebrooks and Pedroia in a monster week featuring 19 homers. Johnson, Reed and Robertson combined for five saves. The Vendors took the remaining categories thanks to Volquez, Sabathia, Cain and Javier Lopez.
