Home MLBBST Game Guides This week’s schedule

This week’s schedule

by Matt Smith

I hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend in the U.K. The baseball season is really starting to get into full swing now and there’s plenty of action to watch live on MLB.TV this week, or to listen to on Gameday Audio. As always, this is a guide to the top matches that are being played during the British evening (i.e. day games in North America) this week. All times are therefore listed in BST.

Monday – Some live early evening baseball on Bank Holiday Monday from Camden Yards. The Indians are in Baltimore with Fausto Carmona looking to get the start against the veteran Steve Trachsel. First pitch is scheduled for 17.35.

Tuesday – No live games today at a convenient time. Josh Beckett will be looking for win number seven on the season against the Blue Jays, starting just after midnight.

Wednesday – Three games from the senior circuit to choose from tonight. Claudio Vargas starts for the red-hot Brew Crew against the Nationals at 18.05. Five minutes later, Jason Hirsh and Adam Wainwright take the mound for the Rockies and the Cards respectively. At 20.35, John Maine looks to improve his record to 6-0 as the Mets take on Matt Morris and the Giants at AT&T park.

Thursday – Nine games start before midnight today on the traditional “getaway day” in the Majors. David Wells against Tim Hudson looks to be a good match-up at 18.05, while the White Sox take on the Twins in an AL Central clash at ten past the hour (Contreras and Silva look set to start). A Carlos Zamrano start at Wrigley is always worth watching; he faces the Pirates at 19.20. Finally, the Indians and the Angels begin at 20.35.

Friday – Feast turns to famine on Friday, with no live action in the British evening. Johan Santana looks to rebound from a surprisingly mediocre start to the season against the Tigers at 01.10 (i.e. Saturday).

Five are broadcasting the Rangers taking on the Yankees on Wednesday night (00.40). NASN’s weekly MLB schedule can be found here.
