In the battle of Norfolk it is Norwich who advance to the next round. Only two pitchers allowed any earned runs, which was going to be hard to beat. The Chasers have had a great season, finishing second in the standings, and will be strong contenders for the consolation title.

I’ll be honest, I’ve no idea how I managed to defeat the Slugs, particularly with Yelich done for the year, Hill getting hurt again and Miley, Fried and Lucchesi choosing a really flipping bad time for a meltdown. Tip of the cap to the Slugs in what was a very well-fought matchup.

Slugging shortstop: Semien (Slugs) 10 R, 4 HR, 8 RBI

Home run machine: Suarez (Isotopes) 3 HR, 1.340 OPS

Catcher with wheels: Vazquez (Isotopes) SB, .353 AVG, 1.154 OPS

Zack’s the way I like it: Greinke (Isotopes) 2 W, 12 K

Closing time: Iglesias (Isotopes) 2 SV

Avoiding damage: Lynn (Slugs) 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP.
