What a week for the BaseballGB fantasy league. It included a change at the top, some big wins and a BaseballGB grudge match between Matt and Joe.

What a week for the ‘Cuse! Only a lack of holds prevented The Giants from a 12-0 whitewash. The ‘Cuse had big weeks from Inge, Pujols and Alexei Ramirez with the bats, with Gallardo and Ricky Romero racking up wins and plenty of strikeouts.

SWAT picked up a 7-4 win over the Wright Stuff, who battled back from a bad start to the week. Miguel Cabrera, Sandoval and Choo led the way with the bats, but Chris had the better pitching performances, including three saves from Fuentes.

My Isotopes are making a charge up the standings after an 10-1 win over The Gas. My hitters found their power, but almost came close to throwing the average category away. Granderson was my star hitter, belting three homers, while DeRosa, Michael Young and Loney each hirt a pair. My starters once again struggled to pick up wins, but Nathan and Bell steadied the bullpen, which took saves and holds. Kevin Gregg was the star for The Gas, picking up two wins, a save and not giving up a run.

The Angels picked up a 7-4 win over Bonestalkers, thanks to a big week from Derrek Lee and some impressive pitching from James Shields, Josh Johnson and Gavin Floyd. Bonestalkers also had some good pitching, taking wins and saves thanks to Huston Street.

Tribal Warfare pulled off a shock win, defeating The Whos 7-3. Warfare had struggled to meet the 20 inning weekly minimum limit, but thanks to a strong start from Kershaw on Sunday, they pitched enough to win four pitching categories. Warfare’s hitting line-up saw BJ Upton, Pence and Big Papi find some form as well. Is this the start of a comeback?

The Bats edged the Bangers in a tightly-fought matchup, with a number of categories which could easily have gone the other way. In the end, the Bats’ advantage in homers, saves and holds proved to be the difference.

Â
We end the roundup with a BaseballGB grudge match, as Matt’s Chasers just got the better of Joe’s Typos 6-5. The Typos put up very impressive RBI, average and OPSÂ numbers, but Matt’s pitchers gave him the victory by taking wins, strikeouts (by two), ERA and WHIP. The Chasers will have to deal with Beltran’s injury, while the Typos will have Votto and Halladay back soon, so those Typos should still be a tough team to beat.
Â
The results mean the ‘Cuse take over at the top, just half a game ahead of SWAT. My Isotopes are 1.5 games back, with the Wright Stuff, Cheddar Chasers and Giants not far behind. A bit of a gap is forming, with the Bats, Whos, Angels, Bonestalkers and Typos bunched up, while the Bangers, The Gas and Tribal Warfare have work to do.
Â
Remember teams can trade players, so if you think you need to shake your roster up, use the trading block to show which players are available and what you are looking for in exchange. You can also send trade offers direct to managers.
